UPDATE ,Shot Fired Inside South St. Louis Home During Disturbance – Man Taken to Hospital
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — A domestic disturbance at a south St. Louis residence escalated to a gunshot on Friday, July 31, resulting in one man being hospitalized for a mental health evaluation.

Police responded to the 4200 block of Minnesota Avenue after a call for medical assistance. Officers arrived to find two brothers involved in an altercation inside the home. While police worked to de-escalate the situation, emergency medics staged nearby for safety.
During the investigation, a single gunshot was fired inside the residence. Authorities confirmed the shot was not directed at the responding officers or staged medical personnel, and no injuries were reported from the gunfire.
After securing the scene, officers transported one of the brothers, who was believed to be experiencing a mental health crisis, to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department emphasized that no one was physically injured during the incident. The investigation remains ongoing with no further details released.
